Self-Defense Carbine (Two-Day) - Little Rock, AR Area

This class is intended to teach the use of an AR pattern rifle in the self-defense context. Topics include the skills needed to use the carbine at typical engagement distances (within 25 yards) and longer distances based on range infrastructure. These skills include: zeroing, snap shooting, reliable safety manipulation, sight offset concerns, ready positions, movement around others, reloads, barricade shooting, atypical positions, moving targets etc.
This class includes the use of turning targets, steel targets, and a moving target system. Capacity is limited to 12 students.
Disclaimers:
This class will make extensive use of dry practice to maximize learning - don't expect to fire a live round for several hours. There will be no mag dumps at 10 yards. This class's context is that of the armed citizen or uniform patrol officer, not the Selta DEAL Operator Dude.
Mandatory Equipment:
- A zeroed carbine, AR pattern highly recommended
- 500 rounds of ammunition for your carbine
NO GREEN TIP AMMO
- Three empty magazines
- Hearing/eye protection and a brimmed hat
Optional Equipment:
- Shooting mat or an old rug scrap
- Sling for the rifle is highly recommended.
